Thomas F. Lewis, Jr., Of Counsel with the Indianapolis law firm Lewis And Wilkins LLP and a former partner with the South Bend law firm Jones Obenchain LLP
was selected as a Distinguished Hoosier by Governor Mitchell Daniels.
The Distinguished Hoosier is one of the highest awards given by the State of Indiana to its citizens. “Anyone who knows Tom knows his accomplishments have been many and great. Tom is a family man, community leader and fine attorney,” said Paul Mullin, an attorney with LEWIS AND WILKINS LLP.
Mr. Lewis’ primary practice areas are health care law and corporate law. Mr. Lewis is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College and Indiana University School of Law. He began his distinguished legal career in 1963. Among other community achievements, Mr. Lewis is the former President of the Summit Club in South Bend and the Notre Dame Quarterback Club. Mr. Lewis was adjunct professor at the University of Notre Dame School of Law and Indiana University-South Bend.
