LEWIS AND WILKINS LLP lawyer Paul Mullin served as one of two panelists in an Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation (“ICLEF”) seminar in front of a large audience of attorneys, governmental officials, and claims adjusters on the topic of lawsuits involving governmental entities. The seminar occurred in Indianapolis but was available statewide via the internet. Paul discussed the legal aspects of lawsuits involving prisons, school buses, police, city/county transportation departments and the military. A large portion of the seminar was about Paul’s defense of the Indiana State Fair Commission and the Department of Homeland Security from dozens of claimants stemming from the 2011 stage collapse. Paul has successfully defended governments and taxpayer-funded agencies in thousands of lawsuits since 2005.
